Appointment - Covid-19

Acorn Dental Health
Appointments - Covid-19

Here at Acorn Dental Health we already practice very high standards of cross infection control, dental practices are a very clean environment compared to public areas. We already protect against transmission of all previously known pathogens and there is no evidence of increased rate of transmission of COVID-19 between dental staff and patients. But in addition to our regular practices and after careful consideration of the available evidence, we will be introducing some new measures to further reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19.

Please take this time to familiarise yourself with our practice procedures in order to  help us continue to keep patients and staff safe during your visit.

If you answer YES to any of the following questions please do not attend your appointment and inform our reception on 01489 782166:

1. Do you have a high temperature, fever, new continuous cough or a loss/altered taste or smell?

2. Have you or any member of your household/family had a confirmed COVID 19 diagnosis in the

last 10 days?

3. Are you or any member of your household/family waiting for a COVID 19/ SARS-CoV-2PCR test result?

Medical settings are governed by the strict rules of Health & Safety that differ from other business settings. Beyond the 24th February 2022 it is still a requirement to wear a face mask within health care settings, including dental practices. On entering the practice please use the hand sanitizer provided and report to reception. Those who are clinically vulnerable or medically exempt will be asked to wait outside or in your car until the dentist is ready for you.

To minimise contact within the practice we are asking future appointments and payment to be made by card over the phone and in advance of appointments. This is to minimise contact and will reduce the number of patients in the reception area. Please could you kindly call us on 01489 782166 to make your payment and arrange your next appointment in advance.

Please arrive 1-2 minutes before your appointment but no earlier. For your safety appointments are allocated to comply with social distancing and cross infection controls. Failure to arrive on time will result in us having to re-book your appointment which could result in a longer delay than normal.

You will not be required to go to reception after your appointment unless you have an outstanding payment or need to make another appointment.  If you are unable to make payments over the phone, we are still able to take cash.

May we take this time to thank you for your understanding and continuing support.
